I CANNOT FIND MY LOGBOOK
This is not a major problem as we are able to scrap your car without a logbook. We will need to see some evidence that you own the vehicle though, for example the keys to the car or insurance. We suggest you write to the DVLA and inform them you are scrapping your vehicle.

DO I NEED TO SIGN THE LOGBOOK?
No, what we will do is to complete section 9 and this is for your retention, we take the balance of the logbook along with the vehicle and on the day of it being scrapped, a message via a direct link is sent to the DVLA and a certification number is issued - this is then printed off and therefore becomes a Certificate of Destruction. We also advise you to send section 9 off to the DVLA, so they get it from both angles.

I DON'T HAVE THE KEY
Not having the key is not essential, but you will need to provide us evidence that you are the owner of the vehicle, for example the log book or insurance.
[TOP]
MY CAR WON'T START
In the vast majority of cases, we collect cars that are accident damaged or simply won't start.
[TOP]
I WANT TO STRIP MY CAR FOR PARTS
This is not a problem, providing all the wheels are on and that the parts you require does not affect the overall weight of the vehicle. Stripping out the lights or the radio is acceptable but not the engine.
[TOP]
I WANT TO KEEP MY WHEELS
You must leave the wheels on the vehicle on collection, but if you speak with our driver, in most instances, you will be either able to follow him to the scrap yard where you can take the wheels from there, or alternatively if the driver lives nearby, he may well drop them back to your house for a small fee.
[TOP]
MY CAR IS A SHELL, WILL YOU COLLECT FOR FREE?
No, we will make a charge which is dependent on what the vehicle is and its condition.
[TOP]
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE A CALL?
30 minutes after submitting your vehicle onto our website, your details are sent via data link to our driver. He should call you within an hour or if he is in the middle of collecting a car and may well call you in the evening or first thing in the morning.
[TOP]
HOW LONG DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS TAKE?
We aim to collect all cars within 48 hours or at the customer's convenience.
[TOP]
WHEN WILL I GET A CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION?
This varies, but if you have not received it within 2 weeks, then simply call us and we will chase it up.
[TOP]
DO I NEED A CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION
Technically no, but it is proof positive that we have scrapped your vehicle.
[TOP]
CAN I HAVE A CERTIFICATE OF DESTRUCTION WHEN YOU COLLECT MY CAR?
No and if anyone has promised you one on collection it is FRAUDULANT. It is not possible to issue a destruction certificate, without it being destroyed first. We can offer you an intention letter, should this put your mind at ease.
[TOP]
DO YOU COLLECT AT WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS?
Yes, these are our busiest times.
[TOP]
DO I NEED TO BE THERE WHEN YOU COLLECT?
No. It is common practice to collect vehicles during the day when the owner is at work. Simply leave the key and the logbook in the glove box on the day of collection and we will do the rest. You can alternatively leave these with a neighbour.
[TOP]
DO YOU ONLY COLLECT CARS?
